DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH NEUROPATHIC PAIN

Reduce Your Pain with AXON THERAPY!

Axon Therapy is the first 100% non-invasive treatment for neuropathic pain. It uses rapid and restorative peripheral nerve stimulation for the management of neuropathic pain. The mPNS (magnetic peripheral nerve stimulation) device is FDA approved and is the perfect alternative to opioids and other medications!

What Areas are Treated and Why?

  • Peroneal Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing post-surgical pain in the lateral leg and dorsal surface of the foot, this nerve is treated.
  • Saphenous Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing post-surgical pain in the medial leg and plantar aspect of the foot, this nerve is treated.
  • Popliteal Fossa
    • When patients are experiencing painful diabetic neuropathy in the lower extremities, this location is treated.
  • Occipital Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing post-traumatic occipital neuralgia (whiplash), migraines and TBI-related headaches, this nerve is treated.
  • Femoral Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing post-amputation pain, stump pain, phantom limb pain and post-arthroplasty knee pain, this nerve is treated.
  • Ilioinguinal Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing hernia pain or post-hernia repair pain, this nerve is treated.
  • Suprascapular Nerve and/or Axillary Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing hemiplegic post-stroke pain and shoulder replacement pain post-surgery, this nerve is treated.
  • Median Nerve
    • When patients are experiencing post-surgical carpal tunnel pain, this nerve is often treated.

What Does the Process Look Like?

  • The process begins with a consultation with Dr. Ivo Bekavac. You will discuss where your pain is, how it started and so on. This will help determine which nerve you will be treated.
  • Once the nerve is determined, treatment will begin. This involves placing the crosshairs of the figure-8 coil directly over the nerve. By using patient feedback after each delivered pulse, we will find the “sweet spot” for treatment.
  • Treatments will decrease over the next three months.
    • The first three treatments will happen within 5 – 7 days of each other, ideally three days in a row.
    • After the first three treatments, there will be one treatment a week for the rest of month one.
    • During month two, the patient will receive one treatment every two weeks (two treatments that month).
    • During month three, the patient will receive only one treatment.
